On assignment for UNICEF Nigeria. The overall health of a mother and her child, is of high priority. Including making efforts (translated into several activities) to prevent the transmission of HIV from Mother to Child.
Newborns face significant health risk hence, a functional newborn corner is critical to provide immediate care to newborns including resuscitation, warmth, and initial care to sick newborns.
Kangaroo mother care was introduced to improve bonding between mother and babies born preterm and to increasing breast milk supply.
